There’s excellence…….…….and then there’s par excellence with Kathi Lundstrom
Spend a few minutes with Kathi, and you’ll notice she takes care of business. At an early age, she developed a passion for doing it right – the first time. Maybe it started when she was a young girl, when she would haul buckets of water and grain through waist high snow to make sure her family’s horses were fed. Or maybe it surfaced when she decided to head for Colorado at 20 to start a life of her own. It certainly surfaces today in her professionalism.
Par for the course…………...
Don’t be surprised if Kathi’s car slows down when she drives past a golf course. Golfing runs in her family – she’s a single digit handicapper, and her sisters are both professional golfers – one is in the LPGA and the other is a teaching pro. Kathi’s made many of her deepest friendships on the fairways, meeting women who enjoy the challenges of competition and the camaraderie it brings.
On and off the fairway, competition keeps Kathi reaching for the top. It’s no wonder she’s continued to be one of the area top producers since entering the field in 1978. Kathi shows how much the real estate business changes, which is why she updates her marketing and sales methods to accommodate those changes – all while retaining a relaxed friendliness that makes you feel comfortable as well as confident you’re working with her.
An early start………………..
Kathi’s real estate business actually has its roots in her youth. She grew up in a small Minnesota town, where her father was a prominent real estate broker and insurer. At age 16, she began working in the family real estate office, and suddenly she sensed what she wanted to do. “It was a way of life for me.” She notes, “From that time on, I always felt that real estate was going to be my career.”
People & Credentials
At age 22, she was already a player for a leading property management firm. She established her real estate career in tough times, successfully marketing and selling luxury golf course homes during the recession of the early 80’s. When Kathi and her husband moved to Martin County in 1990, they started their own real estate franchise, Realty Executives – Treasure Coast. When the company was sold 7 years later, it had 70 agents. She stops working only when the right buyer or home is found.

1976/1978: R.J. Fulcher & Co. Began professional real estate career as an assistant manager for a small apartment community. In a few short years, She was promoted to management and personally managed, hired, fired and trained staff for several hundred multi-family units. The company was the largest apartment owner in the Denver area.
1980/1987: Paul Hamilton and Co. Commenced sales career as a new REALTOR and won several sales awards during her tenure with this mid-sized Colorado Springs residential real estate firm. Personal sales grew each year and during the last year with the firm she received commendation for sales achieved and placed in the top 10 percent of the company in dollar volume sales.
1987/1990: Barrington Properties, Inc. Received Broker License and operated her own sales and management and company.
1991-1997: CO-FOUNDER, Realty Executives – Treasure Coast. Realty Executives is a nationally franchised residential real estate sales and marketing company. The company began as a single person company in 1991 and, when sold, had three locations in Martin County, Florida with over 70 residential REALTORS. The company grew to the largest real estate company in Martin County with over $100,000,000 in annual sales sides and was sold in late 1997. After the company was sold, Kathi continued with the company as an independent contractor until 1999.
1999-2005: CO-FOUNDER, Sewalls Point Real Estate Group, Inc. was organized as a small, but specialized residential real estate marketing and sales company. The Company employed 12 professional real estate sales associates and specialized in sales, acquisition and rental/management of waterfront and estate type residential properties located in exclusive Sewall’s Point and Hutchinson Island, Florida. The Company proved to be very successful and based on area Board of Realtors records, had one of the largest dollars sales sides per transaction in Martin County, Florida.
In year 2005, Kathi merged with a large Florida real estate firm, Illustrated Properties which is now associated with Sister Company Keys Real Estate with over 50 offices and over 1,000 members in the Company.
