Queensland-born golf champion Greg Norman is selling his spectacular oceanfront estate in Florida as part of the $300 million divorce settlement with ex-wife Laura Andrassy.
The compound, with unobstructed ocean views at one end and equally majestic bay views at the other, is listed at more than triple the price of any other property for sale in the exclusive celebrity neighbourhood of Jupiter Island.

Norman's 12-bathroom estate includes a main house, a coach house, a carriage house and an oceanfront house, and is priced at $23 million more than golf sensation Tiger Woods paid for his nearby estate last year.

The 3.2ha property has a private jetty large enough to berth several ocean-going boats, front-row views of the beach as far as the eye can see and expanses of manicured lawns so neat they would suit the world's best golf courses.

It also has two gyms and garages for 23 cars.

Norman's price is 1300 per cent more than the $5.2 million he and his former wife paid for the property in 1991.

The stratospheric asking price has sparked debate over the value of the property, with some local estate agents saying the golf entrepreneur is dreaming while others suggest the price is fair.

Agent Lynn Byrd of Illustrated Properties said the property had "star power".

"There are lots of homes in Palm Beach County and other parts of the country that sell for that price," she said. "I have listings now for $US35 million ($A$40million). All kinds of people would be interested in this."
